Ali stood in front of her mirror. At Ali’s middle school she was a, how do you put this? Dork. But she didn’t have a dork look at all. She had stunning straight blonde hair, piercing green eyes (no glasses), and a gorgeous smile. But her rep was horrible. Like other story books, the dork was always friends with the popular girl. Ali was best friends with the popular girl’s new best friend. Ali and her ex-BFF, Erin were on their way to the top until Erin ditched Ali for Alex (the popular girl.) This all changed when Ali found this website on google: Dork Academy. “Uplifting the unwanted from public schools. Send in an application to be invited!” Ali knew it would be desperate to do so but she flipped her blonde hair and filled out the form.

Ali put the letter in the envelope, put it the mailbox, walked back upstairs, and went back to sleep.
3 days later, Ali got a letter back from Dork Academy:
Dear Ali Scott Johnson,
Your registration form was outstanding and we were very pleased by your academic grades. We would love to have you join us at our school. School starts September 3rd, you are allowed to start moving into your dorm the weekend before school starts. You will be sent your supply list soon after you receive this letter. We will also need a letter sent back to us informing us about yourself, allergies, ext. due by August 21st.

Ali squealed with excitement, it was August 19th and she only had two days to send the form in. School started in 2 weeks and she still had to pack and go back to school shopping. Ali called to her older sister, "Jamie! I need you to take me to the mall!" Jamie didn't feel like yelling back so she just sent an IM:
Jamie: fine squirt. but only 2 hours max.
Ali: awesome. btw, i am going to school at Dork Academy!!!!!

Ali exited her chat with Jamie only to find 5 new IM poping up on her screen.

Ali clicked on DorkAcademy.com. It had pictures of the school, a dorm to dorm chat room, and a school wide video chating system. She logged onto the site using her name. Dork Academy was like Facebook! She had 13 new friend requests and 2 chat requests.

Whitney North: I'm Whitney. We are sharing a dorm together and with another girl named Hanna.
Ali: Oh cool, I am looking at pics of our dorm right now. I call bed near the window!
